“Think further” has been Curaden AG’s motto since mid-2015, when it brought the most strategically important parts of its business together under one management team, merging its IT, Products, Trade and Equipment divisions into a single company, Curaden AG. This one-company strategy is the key to guiding practice owners, dental professionals, patients and consumers alike into the future of dental medicine and oral health: think further.
Curaden AG has its roots in the dental supply business set up by Hans Breitschmid in 1954. In 1966, his son Ueli entered the business and, from 1972 onwards, developed the Curaprox oral health brand, which now operates in over 60 countries. Curaden AG’s headquarters have been located in Kriens, Lucerne since the company was founded. The firm employs more than 150 people at its centres in Basel, Crissier, Dietikon, Kriens and Riazzino.
In particular, the Curaprox and Swiss Smile brands, together with iTOP oral prophylaxis training, are gaining an international reputation. In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, for example, the Curaprox CS 5460 ultra soft toothbrush has achieved cult status, while in Slovenia the toothbrush was crowned “2015 Product of the Year”.
The Breitschmid Group is owned by Ueli and Erika Breitschmid together with their daughters Christine, Laura, Nora and Carla as well as siblings Alessandro, Claudio and Michela Fuchs.
